Ok so I got this smoke from a local with the intent of reviewing it since I heard it was hard to find.

Looks like a 4" box-pressed torp or pyramid shape with a neato paper sleeve.

Cost: 12 bones

Unlit, it has a really nice presentation, very good construction with no soft spots. Smelled like a maduro. I cut it flawlessly, and the unlit draw said Spice! So much so that I actually coughed lol

Then I lit it with a standard wooden match, and I was met with a coughing fit's worth of spice, I couldn't believe it... but I actually accidentally inhaled it. Ugh man. Anyways, it kept being kinda spicy like I would expect from a full bodied maduro, producing a good amount of very thick, thick smoke. It was so thick it felt like it was sticking to my teeth.

After a half inch it started a very, very smooth transition from the spice to something I could not quite distinguish... at the 3/4 mark it hit me as the spice completely left the cigar: All of a sudden it tasted very distinctly like creamy burnt peanut butter (probably just peanuts, but oh well).

And that was really it. No more changing from there, only the semi sweet aftertaste of a maduro (imho, not a great match). I would say that I enjoyed it, but I got really sick of the same overly nutty taste that it got. Other than that, it burned straight and all and i didn't have to fight it.

Chucked it with 1.5 inches left because I got sick of it... in both meanings. I feel like I really need to lay down for awhile even though it was short, but I tend to over-react to cigars like this.

Overall, I won't be buying another one, a neat unique flavor but not my cup-o-tea, especially for the price. Feel free to disagree.

Review cNote.

I was looking at those as well today. Stopped over at EDLEEZ for the last day of their 25th year celebration. Man, the price tag on those just scares me away

Thanks for the review. I'm still not sure if I want to try this one or not.

ok Im recovered now... and I have no desire for that taste in a cigar ever again. I actually had toast and peanut butter afterwards and I think that sent me over the edge.

The corojo is the way to go with this stick.  That corojo wrapper makes that puppy a spice bomb!  Nice review, thanks.

I thought that Maduro was a decent smoke.  I enjoyed it, but would only say it was about mid-grade to me.  It definetly was not worth the hefty price tag, I wouldn't buy another one.

Now, I would like to try the Corojo, I've heard nothing but great things about it.
